Hello,my cockerel of 3 years old,L.Sussex has this looking in his legs.
We live in Canary Island where the weather is hot and groung it's dry most of the year.Lately, I see he let one leg up quite often.Shall I remove big nails as i did onces? Are this grudges normal of the age? Could he has any illness/parasites into there?
Thanks so much!

Looks like scaly leg mite to me. Dip his legs in mineral oil or vegetable oil every day for 2 weeks (you can use vaseline instead). This smothers the mites. Also rub some on his comb and wattles as scaly leg mites attack there, too.

The scales should go back down. If he has severe enough leg/scale damage, it might not look healed until the leg scales molt.

I personally wouldn't bother trimming his nails- they look ok to me.
