Cockerel or Hen...or duck?

Sappy, my croad langsham, she's kind of lonely by herself and we're considering getting her a friend. I'm rather scared about getting another chicken due to pecking order issues and potential bullying so i was also considering getting a duck instead. Would it be better to get a cockerel, a hen or a duck?

A couple of hens might be a good idea. Yes there will be pecking order issues, but they might be worse with a duck, and one rooster to one hen would most likely result in over mating.

I would also go with female chicken. How many is going to be up to you.......

If it's a bantam rooster, will the over mating still be an issue? As she's larger than him wouldn't she be at the top of the pecking order? Also I heard bantams where more docile?

Bantam Roosters can be more aggressive............Get a Hen........Seriously get a Hen..........
