Cockerel or Pullet EE?

This is an 8 week old EE. Hoping for a cockerel, we ordered 6 straight run and this is the one with the biggest comb. I've never sexed EE's before so I'm more hesitant. Thanks.

I'm thinking roo...patches of white on shoulders and much larger redder comb than mine at 8 weeks.

This is a harder color for me to know though.

I think you're correct in sexing them.

first is 100% cockerel
Second is 100% pullet (she actually looks similar to my avatar)

Agreed. No doubt at all, first is a male and second is a female. Both have the highly typical colorings for the sex.

Since we are playing 'guess the gender' with EErs, what about this one? S/he's 12 weeks old:



Light was fading last night, and couldn't get "Bling" here to settle down and be still but it has a very peachy single row pea comb. Like almost white.
