This is my 5 week old salmon faverolle chick. Was 1st believed to be a pullet but now... I’m leaning towards cockerel because it’s color is super dark & comb is getting big. Please help. I know that thanks to me getting this chick through a hatchery that the color could be way off & there for I do have a pullet but that comb makes me think cockerel.

Do you have pictures of the chick?

We’re calling it Coho after the Coho salmon of the Pacific Northwest. If a cockerel then I’m fine with that. We wanted a rooster of this breed to start our own flock. I’ll just be careful that his gals are the correct coloring.

That looks to be a cockerel.
