Cockerel or Pullet? SLW

Here are some updated photos of the one in question. Still some patchy spots in feathering but already showing wattles at 6 weeks. I can’t really tell a difference in posture or leg thickness compared to the others.

Oof that's tough. SLWs are notoriously hard to sex as females often pink up early and show wattles too.

I agree with @rosemarythyme

I think that there is still a very good chance your chick is a pullet. I would not give up hope yet!

Yeah, wyandottes tend to pink up early, especially compared to other breeds. Right now I think this chick looks more like a pullet.

I’m going with pullet. Cockerels tend to (most of the time that I have seen) have a black patch on the back of their neck, while pullets have full lacing through their neck.

I'm getting mixed signals on that one also. I'm not leaning either way.

I think so too. Personality wise she is probably the most skittish of them all. I feel like a roo would be less afraid. Having super late feathers and then the first to show signs of wattles yesterday made me wonder. Lol thanks all. Ill try to update when we know for sure.
