cockerel or pullet??

He/she has crowed AND cackled like the hens & pullets.

Despite tails of crowing hens it's unlikely in a young one. Roosters cackle and make all kinds of vocalizations, so cackling means nothing. Sometimes it's my roosters that carrying on the worse with the cackling.

So we're thinking that we should maybe wait another 2 month to see if she/he lays an egg???? What do you think?
The thing is that we are not really allowed to have roosters(at least until someone complains) but we'd really really like to keep this pair if they're pullet & cockerel and unfortunately will have to rehome them if they are both roos.

It looks like a pullet to me.
