Cockerel or Pullet

Hey there, I’m new to owning chickens. When I purchased my chicks back in the end of February I was told they were all pullets, but we know that’s not always accurate. I have long guessed that my favorite pullet is not a she, but a he. He likes to be held, is top chicken in the flock Ect. Two days ago he/she tried to crow, but it wasn’t exactly how a rooster should sound. Please see some pictures below. Barred rock

That’s a cockerel. Looks to be a Legbar x Barred Plymouth Rock by the looks of that crest. A Legbar cock over a barred hen will yield black pullets and barred cockerels.
