Cockerel or pullet?

I'm going with pullets, I have two who are now 12 weeks. Here they are at 10 weeks.

Barred Rocks are my favorite so far ..calm, sweet gals.

Yeah that’s a female coloring. He’s a probably a mixed boi. Very pretty.

This is actually a Dominique but the same rules apply. BR males dont usually have this fine of black barring (at least mine didn’t) but this is closer to what a BR cockerel would look like on the barring for visual comparison for the OP.

Idek what he was. At the time, he was purchased as a BR. Had a weird comb. Dad said it was a Dominique. Just took him at his word. He’s been dead for a long time so I never really questioned it once I really learned about chickens. He’s just the only barred roo pic I have since my BR roo was a jerk to the girls and didn’t stay long. Just curious- what does he look like if not a Dominique?
