Cockerel or Pullet?

Okay, so if that one is a rooster, then I don't think we will be allowed to keep him. What should I do with him? In a way that I know he would be safe?

This isn't a guaranteed good home option, but you could take him to a poultry auction. The one by me claims that half the cockerels go to homes where they are kept as pets and all are guaranteed to be sold.

Try your local feed store. Take a picture of the chicken and put your contact information on it. They will hopefully put it in their window. This is how we rehomed our "surprise" rooster. Good luck.
