Cockerel or Pullets?

These two are about 5 months old, they are half spangled Russian Orloff and half Buff Orpington or New Hampshire Red. I have not heard any practice crowing or seen them in the nest boxes. Also, do you think they are Orpingtons or Reds?

They’re both cockerels. I’d guess they have NHR parentage rather than BO. You can tell they’re male because of the pointed saddle and hackle feathers and darker shoulder colour.

Don’t feel bad..I bought 7 NHR...5 are cockerels...boy are they loud! But friendly! Not sure which one we’re keeping as our rooster yet
