My daughter received 4 peeps, three are cockerels and one pullet.... we are looking for a home from one of the boys. But in the mean time one roo got his head pecked and now has a large bump and it looks green around the edges of the bump is this blood under the skin or is it the beginning of infection?
The injured bird is separated by fencing he has been cleaned and treated with anti-bacterial ointment? We will be heading of to the farm store shortly for pine tar, but is this guy infected? and does he have any chance at getting better?
