Cockerel sitting on knees. Is this normal?

Hey everyone, my Easter Egger cockerel is acting perfectly healthy but occasionally I see him sitting in a goofy way like this. Is it just a strange behavior or indicative of something else? Today he did it after my dog jumped up in front of him. Is it a fear response?

That is quite odd. Have you checked his legs to see if they are broken? It could be a fear response, or it could be an odd habit. I've seen some of my chicks do that but they grow out of it.

It is odd! He is absolutely not injured. Acts completely normal 99% of the time. Normal poop ect. As I posted in another thread he, his sister and another older cockerel are having a hard time being excepted into flock. But other wise normal.

Either it's a fear response (or he's trying to defended himself) Or he's just being goofy.
