Hello everyone!

I'm new to the forum and new to chickens! This site has been awesome helping us with all our chicken questions. I've mostly been able to find my questions answered with other posts or videos, but not this one...

We have mostly silkies and sizzles along with a couple of buff orpingtons. Everyone is almost 10 weeks old. I figured we had some time before the roosters started showing themselves...

Full noise @ 19 Seconds. Does this mean he's a cockerel? Any idea how long until (presumed...) he starts actually crowing? We cannot have roosters where we are and we are planning to go out of town soon....:tongue:barnie

I had one little fella crow like that at 6 weeks. It scared him so badly, he didn't try and crow for another 3 months :lau but I think it's safe to say there's no set time at which you should expect full-on crowing
