Cockerel Tail Feathers bled/separated from flock

I posted a week or so ago regarding my barred rock having feathers broken or torn off. I cleaned area and applied peck no more purple cream to discourage pecking which helped while I set up a second small coup. Ruthster has now been separate from 6 hens for 4 days and I see new feathers growing in. He has one spot on top with a very sore looking follicle that also seems to be growing feathers. The blue looking shafts are those of concern or result of the stuff we put on him? Should I be applying anything to the red sore on top.Here are some pictures.
