Hi all,

I have a Silver Laced Wyandotte bantam cockerel who has a strange lump on his comb. I’m not sure if his age as he appeared outside my run one day about 5 years ago.
He usually has all the girls to himself but the spring just gone I hatched out chicks and I’ve got two cockerels, a Vorwerks and a Creme Leg Bar I’m keeping. I know very soon there will fights for power and as Merlin is a bantam I’m guessing he’ll loose and one of the new boys will take top spot. I’m wondering if this is happening already although I’m yet to witness it.
Merlin has mud on his neck feathers either side (you can just about see it in the pic) he’s possibly a little off. He does look sad, and I would of expected him to have cleaned the mud off.
I have noticed him sneeze but it’s only when I’ve thrown down corn or meal worms and I’m guessing it’s dusty. I don’t think his eyes look puffy but I could be wrong and there’s defiantly no snot.
I removed him from the hut tonight and put him on his own in the shed with food and water with added vitamins.
Anyone got any ideas? Clues?
It’s a bit of a mystery to me, I’ve not noticed it before but I have nearly 30 birds and he's fairly allusive. It’s only because I got the meal worms out that he came over!!

Sorry for crappy pics, my mum too them!

My guess is the tip of his rose comb get pecked. It should heal up without any intervention. He's adorable. I'm assuming that's dirt all over his face?
