The two with red combs are definitely roos. I would watch the third to see if her comb gets to a ā€œrooster redā€ stage or not. It’s unfortunate that someone *may* have lied, but 2 hens out of 4 is pretty good! Earlier this year only 3 out of 10 of my TSC bantams were pullets!!

Total rotten luck and roosters are not good with me😰

My advice is to only buy from a reputable hatchery. There are a lot of reasons for that suggestion.
Less risk of roosters if you order sexed pullets.
Less risk of bringing in diseases you cannot get rid of like mereks.
Less risk of bringing parasites in.

Or buy an easily sexed breed. When I got my Ameraucana trio off of Craigslist, they were all about a month old and I knew who the roosters were. Hehe, I actually PICKED a roo that time. I’m crossing my fingers he stays sweet. He’s currently the type of rooster that is very quiet and watchful. It’s a little bit worrying just how smart he is… hopefully he gets the ā€œBe nice and get to stay here and be my lap roosterā€ message. šŸ¤žšŸ˜‚
I do agree with 21hens-incharge about the diseases. I probably got luckier with my Ameraucana than I realize.
