OK, my two favorite chicks from a hatch ended up being cockerels.[IMG] Will this eventually lead to trouble?? They are both 5 M/O and I thought I had a few months before the testosterone kicked in. But tonight one of them (the more aggressive) was seen vibrating on top of a grown hen. And not just any hen, his MOM (not biological, but she raised him from an egg). Isn't he too young?? This cockerel doesn't crow like his brother but he is always chasing around his sisters and other hens! What should I do?? Sorry, I am a first time roo owner.

5 months is normal age for them to start mating. Even with the parent breeder birds. They are fine! If they grew up together they should get along without problems.
