Coco maran with cough

We have a 13 week old coco maran hen that developed a cough and seems to be gasping for air. the symptoms started about 8 days ago. and has not gotten better. we separated it from the rest of the chicks. I cant get antiobiotics without a vet visit. any sugestions?

Hmmm.. if u put black pepper in the chickens food (a pinch every time u change the food) it is said to ease coughing for chickens and it also has other benefits. Hope this helps!
