Cod Liver Oil

In looking at different medications & such for chickens, I've seen cod liver oil mentioned. For what reason would you give it & how much?

have no idea - would be interesting to find out if any benefits with chickens.

Fish oil is more of a supplement than a medication. It bennefits heart, joints. egg laying lubrication. lusterous plumage, etc. Small amounts only.......Pop

It also increases the levels of omega 3 fatty acids to the eggs. But very small amounts as Pop said or your eggs have an off taste.
