Howdy!
There is a gentleman on Harrison street across from Bryan Elementary that builds and sells chicken coupes. He made me one that holds 6 and looks like a barn. He usually writes "City Chicks" on them. He wanted $250, I gave him $200. I believe his name is John. He is a very interesting character. I have had his coupe for a year now and it is super sturdy with no leaks. On Harrison, If you drive away from 15th street towards 10th you will see his work in the yard on the left across from Bryan park.

on a side note, lately my chickens have been being pick off at night. Last night I lost 4 ducklings (I am on E. Lookout just above Dalton Gardens). I believe it is a raccoon. I am now locking them in at night and letting them out in the morning. Kind of a pain as I am the chef of the restaurant Bonsai Bistro and don't wake up as early as them! I am resorting to the poison Golden Malrin mixed with Coke tonight as I am tired of contributing endless pets to the night...

There is a co op feed store on Government Way that will have a variety of chicks come spring. They can also source out other breeds. This year they had black astralorps.

Good luck!
Troy

PS I will be needing assorted new chicks and ducklings if anyone has any. I'm down to 3 Americanas and like to keep about 12. :(

Howdy to all. I have 2 Lavender Ameraucauna roosters to rehome. They are 10 weeks old and are true Lavender Ameraucauna roosters not Easter Egger. PM me if you are interested. I have pictures. They are gorgeous !

Does anyone in this area know of a vet that will treat a lame hen for reduced cost? My hen went lame just after hatching her eggs. That was 10 weeks ago. I have tried every home remedy there is. She deserves a chance. Any ideas? Thank you and Rumples thanks you too.
