Coffee Grinder

I do try to be aware of this, that is why i only mix my shells with the treats i give once a week, not with their daily feed. If your hens free range you may see them eating clover or plantain pretty often. Thise are both very high in Calcium and other vitamins. The roos will even find nice patches of clover and tidbit at it, but barely eat any themselves. I have noticed at times when the clover and plantains are plentiful the egg shell pile goes largly untouched. They do get rocky bits for grit from the driveway, but that seems largly independent of their shell intake.
