Coffee grounds -- okay?

We put all of our kitchen scraps (- any meat) in the compost pile behind the coop. Our chickens free range part of the day and usually find their way to the compost to scratch through it and peck at who knows what. I guess I never really worried about them eating things that they shouldn't, I figured they could figure it out themselves. Should I either be keeping some things out of the compost or keeping the chickens away from it?!?!

I use alot of coffee grounds on the pasture, in the compost and garden. They dont eat them. Star Bucks here gives me bags of used coffee grounds daily, so figure that is over 20 lbs of day of coffee grounds. Since they are used they should not be acidic.

Also my favorite trees get the daily ones here from the house.

Just can't see them ever eatting them.
