I have always used them in my garden but for the life of me I can not remember why....

Any one wanna tell me again?

Coffee grounds are great soil conditioners and they attract worms which will eat them, process them, and create even more "conditioner."

They work like a charm. I brought plants on their deathbed back with coffee grounds.

They are worm candy. I put them in my compost bin along with a batch of red wrigglers. They go to town on them and make wonderful rich soil out of the stuff in the pile....just think 500 worms on caffeine.

Now I'm worried about worms experiencing caffeine withdrawal. I can see myself waking up to a kitchen full of worms holding their coffee cups. Ack, now I'll have to remember to wear house slippers in the morning.

I toss my grounds in the compost heap, but for some reason my chickens like to snack on them (they ALWAYS run to the compost first thing in the morning

Our soil is so orange clay like that I love the way the coffee grounds actually make me think I have fertile dark rich soil! I know it takes time, but I love what the coffee grounds do to my psyche as I look at the garden!
