Happy New Year - Rancher, amen on the politicians.

Any new years resolutions?

1. Don't kiss the cook as often.

2. Eat more chocolate.

3. Gain 10 pounds.

4. Downsize chickens

5. Don't get ducks.

6. Tick off more people.

7. Don't read more books.

8. Take fewer naps.

9. Don't let the grandkids have so many overnights.

10. Don't ride the carousel with the grandkids more often.

11. Take more bathes.

I figure since it's been said Resolutions are always broken I'd make these mine and then when I break them it will be a good thing.

Morning People,
I hope everyone survived the holiday season. It's been crazy here. All my family projects have been wrapped (99%) up by the 1st and now for the finishing touches. The shop was insane the last half part of the year.

As far as resolutions........ stay alive to torment the ladies, my better half and doctor ( it's her fault ).

Tis the season to start thinking about the garden. I was hoping to build a few more beds soon. This snow/rain might have put a damper on it for the time being. I am really going to be building those potato towers this spring. I am hoping to build 2 of them. We are sill eating kale from the garden. I wonder if it will survive the winter? If it does, should I pull it out and start fresh with new seeds? One thing that has past my lips, and I can't believe I enjoyed, brussel sprouts. I have had them in the past, and well........ compost or feed them to the chickens. I found a new way of cooking them. So it looks like a new addition to the garden.

Off to the shop I go. Working on jewelery boxes. I found some old barn wood that I have to make a box out of.

Enjoy your day

Kaj

Oh, Good morning,

Well we'll need to see pics.

I was out this am pulling the top off the septic tank to try and get it to go down. We've been fighting that blankety blank thing since we bought this house. I know we need to have something done but what and how much is more than I can afford right now.

Why our road was never hooked into the sewer down the road is beyond me.

Chicken pot pie in the oven for tonight, a pot of chili cook all day for tomorrows supper ( with corn bread ). Our youngest daughter turned us on to pepper jam. I think I am addicted to it. Anyways we are going to sneak off tomorrow for a good long walk in the woods...... That doesn't sound right
