Coffee's ready...

Hey, Kaj, it makes me happy to see my grandson love something so completely. All of his natural athletic ability comes from my SIL. GD is an excellent soccer player, 'middle' GS is an excellent wrestler, and the little guy baseball. SIL went to college on a tennis scholarship and played semi pro baseball for a while.

Rabbits are wild cottontails maintained in a 50 acre enclosure for the conduct of field trials and training purposes. They are pampered and cared for to assure as large a population as is possible.

@sourland - Congratulations with your GS. It's got to make you proud. There is nothing like a good game. Is this little league, babe ruth? Our GD is playing t-ball. What do you do with the rabbits? Train your dogs?

Hello Rancher, What have you been up to?

Enjoy your day

Kaj

We've both had colds. The grandkids come and bring it I think.

Still trying to get things done before the snow comes back. I think it's to late for the Hydrangeas though.

Chickens are eating like crazy. I'm fighting the squirrels. I don't know where they're coming from. Them and mice. Lord have mercy sometimes they don't even wait for the bait to get cold.

I think I've got a few to many Columbian rock roosters. They mature late, which may be why they're not popular. I think I may be doing some birds for the first time. Nothing like poverty to motivate you to do what you gotta to eat.

DW is doing okay. Hopefully starting radiation soon. She's being forced in to early retirement. Like so many are. It may not be so bad.

I've read that Retirement is half as much money, twice as much husband.

She can be bossy. Doesn't want to let me do somethings, like laundry and cook dinner. So I don't. Unless she's not here. Course if she's not here dinner is left overs.

I'll post some pics.

Went to town today - the Princess drove. She inadvertently pulled into a 'handicapped' spot, and when I pointed out what she had done, she said 'That's not a handicap parking space". Upon becoming convinced that it was, she moved and mumbled, "I'm handicapped after all - I have you."

I think that was uncalled for.

Definitely uncalled for.

DW says she and I have a strange and wonderful relationship. I'm strange and she's wonderful.

The Princess tells me that she is the most normal person that she knows - scary indeed!

My opinion on normal has changed over the years. I don't think there is such a thing. Everyone's got a crack somewhere. Hang with them long enough and you'll find it.

There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who've been diagnosed and those who haven't yet.

Morning folks,

Cold and we're expecting snow. Though not as much as others. Hope everyone in the way is ready for it.

I've still go to cover the chicken runs.

Take care and stay warm,

Rancher

Rancher, hope that you didn't get whacked too hard with this last storm. We had 2" of rain followed by maybe an inch of snow. Yesterday was truly miserable, but today has been much improved.

I was just mentioning on another thread a tree that fell and is hanging over my chicken run. It's being held up by a fence post. A inch or two over and it would have squashed the run. I'm leary every time I go out and walk under it. Not a fat three but long and big enough to do some damage.

I was sore from snow blowing. They're great to have but still a bit of wrestling to get them around the yard. If I had to shovel there would be no way to get out. I'm sure there was over a foot of snow and it was wet and heavy.

I hate to go out in the winter. You should come over and we'll play cards all winter.
