Coffee's ready...

Good Morning!

As I sit here munching on my burrito and sipping coffee I can’t help but feel the wonderful anticipation of Spring!

Cause here in Maine we have hardly any snow at all so I dare say my spring fever is starting early…

Cold here, too. Only 4 this morning with 18" of snow on the ground. I just want to hibernate right about now. Here's a pict from Wednesdy morning when I had to drive in it.

Oh for the warmth of spring ! this is the song of the cardinals as they forage for their sustanance, even the little finches cry as they wing and flit from limb to limb in search of a meager morsel with which to quell the aching in their empty tummies. Only the farm creatures go about their businesswith an earstwhile repast. The anual lament of a long hard winter is in full regailia, and it is hardly a mardi gras at this point. As I type this modest dialouge even I long for the warmth of a spring evening and the mild breeze tickling my skin as it filters through the screen of an open window. Such is life" as a rule man's a fool, when it's hot he wants it cool, when it's cool he wants it hot, always wanting what its not! Good week end and God bless!

can anyone remember where I left my:
Criminal background check?
my diploma from school?
my health record?

I am asking all of you because for the life of me I cant find my stuff. Its not that I am irresponsible or anything... Its my DD... she took my papers out of my folder and put them somewhere.

I keep all my paperwork for work/school in a folder and on my desk upstairs.. well DD was playing school took my papers out to use my folder.. I love her imagination but hate that she touches my things.. I bought her, her own folder but in a different colour.. but no mine is better and she uses mine.. I cant use hers because that would not look good if I walked into an intervier with the director of Nursing with a Hanna Montana folder

well I am off for my very own treasure hunt.. if no one hears from me by dinner call out the search teams.... thanks

How was everyones weekend? Mine was splendid .My daughter was over for the night saturday with the grandchildren. My 4 year old and her 2 yerar old wore each other out and I'm sure I will take a while to get tired of hearing gampa," or it may never get worn out" . Then we, my parents included went out to dinner for v day. After that we went to my 10 year old son's Boy scout cross over ceremony. Wow What you find exciting really changes as you grow and mature" notice how I danced around the word age".Oh and I worked in the tooo very neglected animal stalls "what a pile! Luckily it was all frozen. The garden will prosper in the spring.

Hellooooooooooooo! Any coffee drinkers out there? Are you guys all snowed in?

Hi Karl. Sounds like you had a time of it. How Fun. We just stayed home Got some work done on removing big chickens pen. I need to remove at least 3/4 of it. Then put up a temp. secure fence and gate. I will start that today, get the ground level, move out 1 hutch and move the other one around a bit. The girls are laying their eggs in it, and also in the loft coop. They free range all day so I don't need a large pen for now. So off to eat some breakfast. Spanish Tortilla, My XDH makes this and it is really good. my Vday breakfast.

Have a great day. I hate to brag but I will have 79 today. It was about 73 yesterday. Spring. My bulbs are popping and wild flowers, and weeds, grasses are all popping. The chickens are loving it.

You'all are right nothing like grandpa!I rode while my daughter drove on the highway for the first time last night. I still need a stiff drink to recover, I may have night mares if I dont drink myself to sleep tonight.I still have to give her 50 hours of drive time to get her eligible for her licsense. I'm not sure how this is going to end ,Oh well no one gets out of this place alive anyway!

Early good morning! I've just come in from shoveling since four, so I can get my car out. I put the coffee on before I went out. It smells so good - now I am enjoying my first cup. Everything is all dark and quiet. There was a snow day yesterday, but the plow had left a windrow and it had to be moved. It is so true that in summertime, "the living is easy." Sunday I was raking sticks away, now it's back to the snowshoes.

Karl - I remember those driving days! Although, my son was not so bad - he had had experience on moving vehicles since he was ten, first driving the lawnmower and then, the tractors during haying. I found it most unsettling after he got his license - waiting for him to come home from hockey practice, listening for the familiar rattles of the old car. Parents don't get much sleep during those teenage years.
