Coffee's ready...

Thanks for the good wishes - - - fever has finally broke. I had been running a low grade one for a couple of days, but last night it pushed up to 102. I have spent all day sleeping

There is hope that tomorrow I will be good as new. I get the flu shot every year, but it is still possible to get a minor / weaker flu. I think that is what has happened. I got the REAL Full Blown Flu one year and that was awful ! ! After that, I am first in line for a flu shot.

I am a teacher, so I am exposed to the germs more than most. NEVER thought I would get something like this at the end of the school year. It is over 90 outside. Who would get sick now ? ? ?

NEVER did get that coffee, I went back to sleep instead .

Good afternoon everyone. Life is crazy for me right now, very bumpy so I'll not be on a lot. I miss you all a lot and sharing the morning coffee with yous. I am with ChickyLaura, I think I may have too many chickens! We've got 8 little ones in the coop right now and I'm not sure how they all will get housed eventually. On a sad note, we lost the one that was born during the February snow storm, that was Blizzard. It was my fault but I guess I'm not too upset because it was a rooster. I came out to a trail of feathers one morning, no body, just feathers. Poor thing. Sissy, you sure are a busy person with all your chickies it sounds like! I hope your DH is continuing to improve. Karl, I like all your interesting events, keep on posting them. How are the ducks and goose doing? Math Ace, I hope you are feeling much better soon. It's weird getting sick with hot weather outside. I remember a summer I was sick for a whole week with the summer flu. It was horrible, I didn't eat for a whole entire week and the heat made it even worse! Yuk. I really hope your illness does not drag on. Good luck. Well, hope yous all have a good weekend! Talk to yous when I can!!!

Good morning chicken wranglers
ben really busy all week .One of our customers had an outage and we were in deep all week.I can relax now.
The little heffer"now I know she is not a bull because she peed all over the drive right in front of me. Shameless hussy !
My daughter swears the vet said "he was in the barn" so for the first day we all believed she was a bull.
But the girl is nursing well now. We keep her in the basement in a makeshift stall and take her out on a daily basis for sun and fresh air.
She is as hit with the kids and the adults.
So now we are up to a horse and a mule 5 cows, 21 CR's 33 pullets 25 blue andys "chicks" 6 turkeysChicks 2 gozzlings, 5 ducklings,5 adult ducks, and the gaudian goose that thinks the adults are her clutch.
Oh and maisy jo, the dog who is going to be bred to a blue healer this weekend!
What a large collection.
Sissy good to hear from you.

Long hot intersesting and busy weekend.Buried one of the cows. I guess he died in the storm Fri. night. He was a steer so I'm only out 176.00 but it is still a loss.I'll have the kids plant pumpkins over him so he serves a good purpose even in death. The little bottle fed calf is still going well.Well ya'll enjoy your coffee and have a great day.
