I just didn't know what to do with this (other than share with our local "Chicken Committee".

Seemed that it might be of interest to some...part of the whole reason for doing urban chickens.

I saw that segment a couple of weeks ago when I was watching the show. It seems like Colbert has a live chicken appear on his show a few times a year (once he had a goose visit), so speaking out on their behalf is a good way to repay them.

I have signed a petition to support mandating better conditions for the egg industry. For some reason, I thought I read that much of the industry had negotiated and agreed upon more room for chickens, but maybe that was just in California.
