COLD chickens?!

Food-grade diatomaceous earth keeps the dust down and because it is a dryong agent, the coop stays drier overall. About the run- you could always build a platfor/rain shelter out there, doesn't have to be fancy. Mine are water babies though and will seek out drips even though we have a covered run! How are they today? So long as wet birds can get indoors to a draft-free area they should be okay.

They seem fine, I think I was more worried about them then perhaps I should be. But still, it can't be good for them to be out in the freezing rain for hours. Yes, they could have totally gone inside to get warm, but silly birds, they chose not to.
