PossiblyPekin
In the Brooder
Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding my Pekin hen. She's been broody and sitting on her eggs for about 3 to 5 days now. However, tonight when I checked on her, I noticed she was in the wrong nest, and her eggs had gone cold. I candled the eggs and saw veins along with the little developing embryos inside each one.
Do you think they'll still be okay? Fortunately, I have a few eggs in my incubator that are about 6 days away from hatching, so I could give her those if her current eggs don't make it.
To prevent this from happening again, I rotated the empty nest box, leaving only the nests with eggs (both hers and her sister's) visible. Hopefully, this will help fix the issue.
