Cold front

I wondered if I should be concerned that my 4 chickens are all huddling in the corner of the coop at night (25 F) and not using the roost? They did use the roost when I used a heat lamp but we weaned them off of it incase of power outage.

Also...if a roosters comb looks dry during a cold period is that the beginning of frost bite? I know to look for black spots but not sure if there are earlier symptoms.
