I just wanted to share this with you all.. I have read a few questions concerning being cold or low temps etc..

We are having storms rolling thru our state (MO) which have been creating problems for my INCs..

Anyway I had 3 Hovas' up with lots of eggs.. One was to hatch May 14, yesterday.. One week before the hatch date the storm caused outage for one day and 3 1/2 hrs. Well, of course I thought possibly I had lost them since the temps got down to 69 degrees, even with a thick piece of sponge on top of eggs ..

Wed. Night after I got home from my son's house, I had 2 little chicks or turkeys.. can't remember which.. Today I have 10 turkeys and 3 chicks so far.. 3 more pipping..

So should anyone have a cold period do NOT toss your eggs, you might get a surprise like I did...

So far so good... Now if my other 2 incubators produce, then I'll be happy....
