Cold weather coming, what should I do?

I don't change food/water placement with cold weather. Even if it's cold out I make the chickens go into the run for their water (I have a heated waterer), and I always have food both in and out, so that doesn't change. However I do shovel out the run (multiple times a day if needed) to ensure they have easy access to the water and feed areas, and just to give them some space to move around in.

My one concession with feeding was stopping fermented feed for the week, as it was freezing solid in the bowls in under an hour.

First of all welcome. I have hardy breeds as well and they did OK last year with polar chill.
I have deep bedding as well my coop is raised and that makes a big difference.

I agree your girls are acclimated more than you think. Remember they are wearing down jacket with those feathers on them. :thumbsup
I do have a feeder in coop but unless it's HORRIBLE I leave it up to them to go out or not. They never frostbit their combs either.

Ok it's -14 F wind chill 1 degree and they're saying NO to the outside thanks for asking! It is 19 in their coop by the way. Glad to report my stock tank heater is keeping my 30 gallon trash can with horizontal nipples thawed outside. :wee Yay me it split wide open last year in the bitter polar blast. !
