So here in Texas we are having some odd weather.. And I'm new to raising our chickens. Tonight is going to get to low 30's and trust me that is cold here :) will my lil seramas be alright outside

Do they have a coop? here cold and snow is all i have seen for months, if it became 40F we'd probably dance in the streets anyways, i'll tell you what i do, bed well, feed well, well vented housing.

Some days it's real nasty and none of the chicken go out, but other days i let them decide. Today we were well below freezing, and they were in/out but the snow left them very unimpressed.

i do know your not normally cold and nasty but i do think the housing, feed... bedding help. I do not heat anybody, and we have bantams too.I do offer extra scratch and BOSS(black oil sunflowers) a bit before dusk and in the AM.

Hi,

Yup, Texas has had odd weather lately :/. Seramas aren't known to do well under 40 degrees fahrenheit, so I'd recommend you take them inside or put in a heat source.
