I'm in Albuquerque....I'm not too worried about water + coop.

Nope, I wouldn't either if I lived there.
Stuff will dry out fast before reassembly.

I had to travel over the long weekend and thereby I am still behind on my coop. Here are the latest pictures, this weekend I will frame and assemble the roof though, and we will be good!!

I love these personal coops, rather than the prefab versions. Its fascinating to watch the different influences (like the OP's dad) in the building and design. Definitely giving this a follow, since we will be building a couple more coops later this year!

Because it's cooler then....or it's the only time you have to do so?

What are the fasteners holding the panels together?

What are the fasteners holding the panels together?

They are turn-latch hinges - I had wanted eyebolts and hooks, but my husband suggested these and I was like ok.... But they have wiggle. So the eyebolts are going on anyway haha! It was a good idea but i didn't think about the 1/2 of play until they were on there!

Not sure what these are....maybe some detail pics once you have it figured out.

I have a 'collapsible' brooder, it's just screwed together with drywall screws,
only takes about 30 minutes to assemble.

These are turn latch hasps (i keep calling them hinges, my bad haha), they also call them safety hasps, but yeah they aren't cutting it.
