Collared Dove fledgling

Just thought I'd share pics of a fledgling my kids rescued yesterday.
He's been on the floor for a few days (eldest son saw him on Friday in the middle of the lane and put him on the verge), then the youngest two saw him yesterday having fallen in the burn!!
So they bought this soaking wet dove home to dry out.
Anyway, he's fine and I'm in contact with animal rescue who said he should be good to release in a few days after I've built up his wing strength as he's nearly fully feathered.
No advice needed, just thought I'd share pics lol.

Eating and drinking like a trooper and starting to flutter further every time he comes out to exercise.
The plan is to release him, but ****, I'm falling in love, he's ridiculously tame :/
But I'll do the good thing lol

Just seen this post via search re dove. Just found one in my back garden and brought him in as he was just sitting there. Cats around so no choice. What did you feed yours as I think this one needs a bit mor strength.
