Collonca - Still around?

I now have 4 colloncas (still chicks, 6 weeksish) and love them all! It looks like I may have 2 of each, but you never know.... The friend I got the eggs from gave me 14 to hatch under my broody leghorn, but on day 23, I only had the 4 actually hatch, the rest were 'empty', proving (to me, at least) that his roo pretty much has his one favorite of the 4 hens he has. However, he says now (Oct. 11) the hens have stopped laying. IF I have 2 roos and 2 gals, I'll be happy, since it seems the boys don't fight, but rather cooperate with each other. He had another friend hatch out a batch as well, but only 2 of them look like my 4. The other two seem more like olmec or haustec? weird..... We were thinking of putting the 8 together, but the size difference worries me. (his are almost twice as big, being hatched a week or so earlier) I love my birds and am VERY protective of them. Just ask the 2 raccoons that were stalking them in broad daylight! ....oh wait, you'll need to ask their skeletons. heh I culled our half banty roo (that I never really wanted to keep anyway) because of his attempting to kill 3 of the others, so no more "sammy". BUT!!! the wife's 'frizzle' has grown almost all of her feathers back and the hole he pecked in the back of her neck is healed as well. His other two 'victims' seem lots happier too. I plan on breeding and raising rare breeds to sell eggs and chicks, so if anyone is interested, I'll keep you all posted if/when I start selling eggs or day/week old chicks. However, my preference will be to only sell them locally, so the closer you live to me, the more likely you'll be able to meet us in town somewhere and get them, eliminating the shipping problems for both of us.
Our location is SW Michigan, near Kalamazoo.

PM me if you want to be kept up to date.

Hi Chicks are4kids,
I live in southern Michigan and just acquired a collonca rooster tonight; at least I believe he is. How are your 4 Collonca chicks doing? Do you have pics you can share?

Thanks!
