My hens are Colombian rocks although im not 100% sure. They could be a light Sussex but they have yellow feet. I haven’t heard much people talk about these breeds when I was searching for more information about them. Their the only breeds I’ve owned, are they a rare breed or is it not popular? If anyone has Colombian rocks I would love to know! Their the sweetest hens ever.

They are a rare variety. I know how it feels. I got my first pigeons only to find out I had a rare breed! I had no idea.
The only person I know who raises Columbian Rocks only raises the bantams I'm afraid, and he's not on BYC. Enjoy your girls!

I’m thinking Columbian Rock Crosses? Mt Healthy has them if you want to look at their web page! I have one in my flock, coconut, 😂, she is super sweet and docile. No agression whatsoever. She waits for me on the bottom roost every night, jumps down when I lock up. ❤️

That’s cool! I didn’t get them from a hatchery I got them when they were 4 months from a small farm they came in a pair. I didn’t think they are bantams because their huge 😂

Actually the upper feathers look like they could be barred? It's hard to say. Some Delawares are very slightly barred. And some Columbian Rocks have less black than they ought to. Are her basal neck feathers barred beneath the other feathers or solid black all the way down?

The bottom feathers look the same as the top feathers. I’m not sure what solid black compared to barred looks like.

I have a Columbian rock Cross from Mt Healthy. She is the sweetest! Very docile, follows me around, waits for me to lock the coop before she roosts every night. She’s at the bottom of the pecking order…not bullied just patiently waits to do anything, not agressive at all! My little Coconut! She has the cutest floofy bum feathers too! 😂
