Color, breed, age and gender ?

2 weeks old or so. Too early to determine color, breed and gender. Information on where you bought the chick might help us figure it out. If it was a hatchery, which one? If it was a backyard breeder, then I would guess mixed breed.

Agree it is too young, only between one and two weeks. At three to four weeks, post close ups of its face including comb and any wattles and It might be possible to determine gender. Should be able to tell colour then as well.

I would guess a Production red, or New Hampshire Red.
Looks to be 2 weeks old.
Post pics of the comb at 6 weeks for the gender.

who knows? at this age, as others have stated, its too young to know for sure. The markings on the feathers are the same markings that young RIRs have, same as NH Reds, Buckeyes (But different comb)... any other red birds. All anybody can tell you is that this is probably a red bird.
Where did you get the bird? that's going to have a factor on what it could be as well...

Partridge rock is a possibility. The chick looks too light in color for a partridge rock, but too dark for a red variety, to me, anyway. But it could be either, or something else. Just have to wait and see.
