Ok I have a very strange eggs today. All my flock have consistently laid end-lg brown eggs. I did get three year pullers yesterday from another person and they wer two white rock?( he called them white those island but they do not have the right comb so I dubbed them white rocks) and a buff Orpington. I got all brown eggs except one very strange medium white egg with scratches of brown on the shell. When I went to clean to clean with tepid water my white eggs instantly turned a darkish brown. I dried it and it stayed darkish brown. As it cooled it turned back white! So I did it again and same color changing! I then showed my husband and blew on it to cool and and instant white! I have never seen this!

Yes it was very new to us as we'll. I was enthused with it I wouldn't even let my husband put in fridge lol. I will post there as well. Thank you!

I live in a farming community and no one has ever seen it! I know the pigment s one of the last things added to the egg during production. Gues just a strange fluke!

i have a brown egg layer that laid a very light brown egg......however when i wash it....then it goes very dark brown. When it dries.....it goes back to a light brown colour. go figure....lol

I thought it was really strange. The more I payed with it it was the coolest thing. Kept showing everyone lol
