I would love some help identifying / naming the genetic colors of my silkies.
I would love any thoughts on creating a sex linked pairing with the available roosters/pullets, or what to add to my flock for sex linked offspring.
(I know this is NOT breeding to SOP, merely a back yard project)

Here are my guesses:
1.) Black/copper (satin) rooster

2.)
Red partridge cockerel

3.) dark partridge pullet

4.) dark partridge (satin) hen 865D5C45-7191-4F5B-A58A-288EE7F15E44.jpeg
5.) unsure how to describe this coloring? Pullet B7E8CB58-4DC9-4FAD-9C3A-D409E6A2D886.jpeg
6.)(looking at the silkie on the right hand side of photo) dark red partridge cockerel 1EC42435-1B47-4F05-BE12-792BFFE5B0D1.jpeg

You can do sex linking with skin color if you cross Black skinned Rooster over White Skin hens.
Cool! Which sex would inherit each skin type? I currently have several white skinned hens (of different breeds) in with the rooster. It would be VERY handy to be able to tell pullets early on.

It'll produce Males with White Skin, & Females with black skin.

And just to double check, it doesn't matter what breed the hens are, just that they are white skinned?
Yes, it sort of does matter on what breed. I'd suggest only using those that have absolutely zero dark wash on the legs. Buff Orpington for example.
