I have a beautiful frizzled EE/brahma mix and was wondering what would cause this coloring? Her mom has a similar coloring, so I figure its a form of dominant white since dad is a blue partridge. It's hard to see but each feather is double laced or penciled in gold, and as a chick/pullet she was mostly white with gold leakage. Any thoughts?

Pictures of the parents? A lot of times, Blue Partridge Brahmas aren't really partridge at all...

Anyone want to explain to me the possible color genetic behind this girl?

The red/rust feathers are speckled with blues she also has some random larger dark blue/black spots on a couple feathers. The her neck feathers are a salmon lace with light blue inside.

She is splash because of the whitish, blue lacing, black spots

She is columbian restricted and gold at the silver locus, She most likely also carries the mahogany gene.

I would say she is brown at the E locus- she is not wheaten because of the black on the back ( which is splash)

I would say she is a splash tailed red easter egger -

easter egger because of the pea comb, plus muffs and beard

I'll have to see if I can get pictures of the parents from the person who has them.
This is her half sister and half brother, though. All share the same father.

She's actually a True Blue Whiting out of Arkansas but I'm sure there is some of the same mixes to get it but they are supposed to breed true to blue eggs. My other two don't have muffs and I think her comb isn't a true pea comb. My EEs look much much dif than her in pretty much every way but the muffs and beard. What is "columbian restricted"? I really need to learn more about chicken genetics. It's so fascinating.
