Color of comb

Does the color of the small comb (8 wk olds) tell you whether it will be a rooster or hen?
Also my hybrid RIR is black, but getting auburn feathers on chest, and some dark greenish blue tail feathers?

I'm new to chicken raising, and bought these as "sexed" at local Feed Store....
I have also noticed, (but can't tell which one/ones of the 5 chickens I have) the peeping is changing to a bruck...guess that is how I would describe it....I know, don't laugh at me..

I appreciate any advice you can give....
