I believe it was the one with the yellow face on black. I'll have to check the beak coloration on the other black chick to be positive.

Given the lack of stripes on the yellow-headed baby, looks like Mom #1 laid that egg.

Thanks, that will be something i watch for. I don't think I've had any striped babies this year at all. Next season will be better too as things will be paired and trio'd rather than mixed flock.

I got better pictures, as much as my phone would allow, of mom number 1. Is it possible she is a low quality silver partridge or perhaps silver duckwing pattern? Does amber eyes and yellow legs disqualify a fowl from being one of those pattern types?
