Color Project

I would like to maybe start working on a color project for a group of silkies and a group of Standard Cochins. What is a color that is an easier one to work on at first for a cochin group and a silkie group?

I guess we need a bit more detail about what you are wanting to do--work on existing colours, bring new colours into the breeds, create pink & purple polka dotted birds with green striped wings?

I would love to bring a new color to the breed, but how would I go about doing that?Or maybe I could just help expand on an already existing color that is rare? What colors are already existing? Sorry that I was lacking basic information needed in the original post. Thank you for everyone's feedback!
