Color Question With Silkies And Their Eggs

Quote:
black & buff = buffs with more black in tail and wings than buff parent, possibly some blacks
black & white = completely unpredictable
black & black = ?(assuming black here LOL) Yes, black
black & partridge = Partridge with incomplete penciling; possibly some blacks with gold leakage

Sonoran would it make any difference wether the white is a dominant or recessive? Couldn't a dominant white throw white chicks with a Black?

Nothing like emperical evidence! I've hatched one chick from black over white, and I got black. Five chicks from black over black, and all are mottled (both het for mottling, possibly siblings). I have a pip in my first black over buff egg, so I'll know about that soon!

ETA: Black over buff = black
At least this one mating of this particular pair resulting is this one black chick.
