Color Question

I hatched some chicks from a Barnevelder rooster and what I thought was my blue red Cubalaya. The chicks came out solid blue. Is this possible or did I grab eggs from my splash Hamburg instead? Thanks in advance.

It is possible.

The Barney is a black double laced and the Cubalaya is what I would guess is blue wheaten. I did the chicken color calculator and solid blue did not come up. So either the Cubalaya has something hidden or I grabbed the splash eggs instead.

Blue red sounds like a birchen based color to me.
