Colorado chicken lovers! There are at least 1,000 hens from an egg farm in Wellington, Colorado who need immediate placement. The farm ran out of money and could not buy food for 14,000 hens. Several thousand have already been slaughtered but efforts are underway to find permanent placement for the survivors.

Dates: FRIDAY JANUARY 18 11-4 PM
SATURDAY JANUARY 19 9-4 PM

Adoption fees: $8/hen (with a discount for multiple hens). Location: 12155 NCR 15, Wellingon, CO 80549.

The news article I read said they are free to adopt at the farm, did they start charging now?

We have a cute little black silky rooster that we need to get rid of. He is almost 6 months old. We are not aloud to have roosters. He is very sweet and a total cutie!! Would love to possible trade for a hen or make other arrangements. Please let me know if you or someone might have a home for him!!!
