Colorado

We raise Rhode Island Reds too. They really are beautiful birds, not as nice as my Easter Eggers (LOL) but beautiful. Oddly, my Buff Orp roo seems to have gone rogue on me just lately.
Sorry for the rambling. I actually got on here to wish all my Colorado neighbors a happy Easter or happy Ostara or just a happy day if you don't celebrate this holiday.

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for someone in the Colorado Springs area who is willing to come by my house while I'm out of town to check on my chickens, keep the waterers filled, and collect eggs. It'll be somewhere towards the end of this month and for (tentatively) 10 days (but you'd only need to come every other day or so). I have 3 laying hens and 2-13 week olds who are in a separate psuedo-coop. I'll pay this person $50 for the duration of my trip and it'd be a great way to get a child involved too! Oh, and you get to keep the eggs

If you know someone who might be interested, please PM me!

Thanks,

Teresa

Anyone in Colorado interested in a Rhode Island Red rooster? He was supposed to be a hen and well, he isn't. The family that has him cannot keep a roo and the little girls are all attached to him. They are trying to find a home for him.

Hi! Does anyone in the greater Boulder area know where to find a couple barred rock (pullet) chicks? The backyard just doesn't seem complete without a couple barred rocks, and I can't seem to make it up to Murdoch's before they run out of the little buggers!

Zilla....I think I am wandering over to the duck side (get it? dark side...duck side...I think I need a nap) I am concidering getting some call ducks. But in the end I need to choose a breed that is reletively quiet so my hubby doesn't pop a cork. Neighbor LOVE my two chickens...how much damage can I do with a few ducks? Would concider runners too if you thought they'd be quieter.

Me too!! Me too!! I'd like to add ducks to the flock. My youngest dd is allergic to chook eggs, but doesn't have a reaction to duck eggs. I'm looking for black east indies and buff orpington ducks if anyone knows of someone who has these.

Thanks, Sonja
