Colorado

I actually saw a post on CL from a lady in Berthoud that had two extra pullets about 10 days old, so we drove up to get them yesterday. They were extra that she got from a hatchery. I think she said she has two extra mottled java pullets too, if you're interested.

Here's a few pics of my babies I wanna share

What breed are the brown ones w\ lacing? They're good looking chicks.

Serious? Wow. you are like hitting the jackpot.
I would love some of these chicks.
Are these in a incubator or under a hen? Just curious.

Yeah I originally planned to raise these but I changed my mind as I want a more diverse flock and I don't want to deal with the possibility of roos. They are sitting in my homemade incubator. Ill snap a picture. This is my first attempt at hatching so I don't know if any will hatch. You will be first in line for what does hatch though. I have been keeping up with candling and am seeing steady progression and movement so my fingers are crossed. Today is day 17.

Ok, I have IDed 8 dark Cornish, 3 light Brahmas, 3 white rocks and 2 barred rocks.

I have 5 I think are black giants but I will be posting them with the rest as soon as the photoshoot is ready. They are black with cream/yellow bellies, cream/yellow markings around the beak and black legs. No head spots on these.

Then there are 2 dark red chicks, two medium red chicks/buff chicks, 1 yellow chick with feathered legs (small grey spot on its back) and the 'dusky' chick with a yellow base that turns greyist on the wings and head (clean legs)
